The Importance of Valuing Everyone: Lessons in Leadership and Humanity

In my journey as a leader, I've come to realize a fundamental truth: the key to adding value to others is in truly valuing them as individuals. This principle has become central to my life and leadership, though I'll admit, it wasn't always the case.

This realization became even more apparent to me through a story shared by a friend in medical school. During a routine quiz, a seemingly simple question changed everything. The quiz asked for the name of the janitor who cleaned their wing in the school. Initially dismissing it as inconsequential, one student was humbled when the professor affirmed its importance.
